A human right: “The Right to Care”

by Angela - on May 18, 2010

Anne Wells helped us publish our first book, Petalwink Learns to Fly. Anne is one of those superhero people that make people like me say, “what the heck am I doing with my life? I’ve GOT to get it together!” She is a shining and inspiring example of proactive, good ideas that make a difference . . . and of following through. She recently started the group UNITE the World with Africa; her vision is for “each person [to] affirm  the unity and interconnectedness of humankind and acknowledge and embrace his or her role in the fight to eradicate extreme poverty.” She also started Global Girls UNITE, a mother-daughter club that empowers elementary-age girls in the US to experience their personal power as change agents in the world. You KNOW I love that!

Here is an interview with Anne from the blog Goddess Diaries that is sure to inspire you. And if you have a moment, visit Anne’s website and find out how you can help her in her upcoming (June 2010) visit to Africa.
